Brora Back Shore
Whereas Brora beach is an easy walk with wonderful views and many birds, the back shore is definitely more of a coastal adventure and it is the place for seals and other wildlife. It's a bit of a rugged walk at times, depending on tides and weather. If the tide is out there are plenty of stretches of hard sand for easy walking, but if the tide is in you might be better walking along the grassy coast instead.
This is the car park marked on the map, and it has easy access to the back shore.
This should give you some idea of how close you can get to the seals! There are both common seals (harbour seals) and grey seals, and you can often see common seal pups playing in the sea. Enjoy the back shore.
